King and Queen County Probate Records
King and Queen County, Virginia was established in the year of 1691 from New Kent County. It was named after King William III and Queen Mary II of England. The early court house records did not survive, and the first will book begins in 1831. Will Books A, Ba, Bb, are strangely arranged.

The vestry book of Stratton Parish contains information as to the processioning of property lines and other business of the church. If you follow the processioning,, neighbors are listed. This is helpful to the genealogist so far as approximate locations of old plantations and possible marriages to neighbors. Since the early records for the county were either lost or burned, the researcher must turn to old church records and the like to try to fit the puzzle.
