Bartholomew Stovall married Anne Burton in Henrico County in 1693. They had a son, George Stovall, who married Polly Cooper, a descendant of Sir Ashley Cooper, the first Earl of Shaftsbury. George was clerk of the House of Burgesses in 1688. Issue:

- Ruth Stovall married Colonel Abraham Penn, Revolutionary War Soldier; settled on Beaver Creek in 1778.
