John Otey, born 1739, married Mary Hopkins. Issue:
- Isaac Otey, Major, born 1765, died 1835 at Sandusky married Elizabeth Matthews (1767-1855) of Rockbridge County in 1789. Issue:
- Sarah Maxwell Otey, born 1789 married Major William Cook.
- William Otey (1791-1845) unmarried.
- Stephen C. Otey (1840-1907), served in the War Between the States.
- John Hopkins Otey married (1) Elizabeth Buford in 1790 (2) Mrs. Mary C. Wainwright.
- Frazier Otey died 1825, married (1)Mildred Leftwich in 1793 (2) Mrs. Mary Latham in 1814.
- Frances Otey, born 1722 married Rev. William Leftwich in 1788. She died in 1825.
- Walter Otey, died 1825, married Mary Walton of Botetourt County in 1800; removed to Huntsville, Alabama.
- James Otey, born 1774; unmarried.
- Armistead Otey (1777-1866) married (1) Sarah Gill in 1806 (2) Nancy Lumpkin in 1834.
