White County Records
White County in 1857 from a part of the original Land Lot county of Habersham and was named for Newton County Representative David T. White, who helped to attain passage of an act creating the new county. The county seat is Cleveland, Georgia. The first settlers to this part of North Georgia were the Cherokee Indians.
