Genealogy Tips
Many residents of Elbert County came from South Carolina across the Savannah River. Many Revolutionary War Soldiers are found in the Wills and Estates from 1791 to 1830. The probate records are mixed and include wills, estates and marriages. Also, the indexes are not in perfect order, and frequently a second index follows the first one. Origins of Early Settlers
