Army, died suddenly on the Governor’s Island, NY, on last Thurs. afternoon...His burial took place at Norristown, New Jersey last Friday. Gen. Hancock was one of...ablest officers in Army and his success during the year won the esteem and respect of the entire Confederate Army. He was a leading democrat and was nominee for the party for Pres. in 1880.

Mr. Bradshaw belonged to a prominent family in Tenn. and Miss Brown was a sister of HONS. NEIL S. AND JOHN C. BROWN, both of whom have been Governor of that State .
