Charles Livsey House in Gwinnett County



Livsey Home Livsey House, build ca 1850, located on Caleb Road, off of Mink-Livsey Road in Gwinnett County. Charles Livsey was born 1820 in Georgia, and early in his career he was overseer on the plantation of Robert Toombs. He was married to Rebecca Bryan and had 6 boys and 1 girl. When he died in 1891, he bequeathed their house and 60 acres, with a mule and buggy to his wife. The remaining property was to be divided among their children. When Rebecca died in 1902, the land went to her oldest son, Green H. Livsey.
