Dr. Elijah Evans Jones of Heritage Hall in Morgan County

Heritage Hall was later called the Jones-Turnell-Manley House. Members of the Jones family put etchings on some of the windows...."E. E. Jones", "I love Will", and "Stewart and Jennie". The original home had four acres and was situated 200 feet from its current site. In 1912, Steve Turnell sold a portion of the acreage to the Methodists and the entire home was lifted and pulled by a team of horses to its current location. The last owner was Sue Reid Walton Manley, in 1977.
