Fairfield was the home of Congressman John Floyd, born 3 October 1769 on Hilton Head Island, South Carolina, and died on his plantation in Camden County on 24 June 1839. The plantation is located in Camden County at Fairfield Point, near Bellvue and Hermitage Plantations. All of these plantations are on private property. Midway up coast of Camden County.
