Fairfield Plantation



Kenneth Baillie, a son of Colonel Kenneth Baillie, established Fairfield on a 1755 land grant of 355 acres in Liberty County,
to be cultivated by seven Negro slaves. In 1761, he was granted another 800 acres of land. He lived with his wife and five children on this plantation until he died on December 18, 1766.
