Andrew Jackson West, the 6th child of Nancy Marinda Griggs and John B. West, was born in Asheville, North Carolina. He was married in Asheville, North Carolina in 1820 to Nancy Marinda Griggs, born Asheville, North Carolina, died 1878, the daughter of Henry Griggs and Anne Towe, died 1832. Issue:[1]

• Andrew Jackson West was born Buncombe County, North Carolina on 15 June 1832, came early in life to Blairsville, Georgia, later Ellijay, in Gilmer County. He was married on 14 June 1855 in Gilmer County to Leah King Osborn.
• Harriet Morgan West married George Thomas Stribling on 9 July 1851. Harriett Morgan West Issue:
  1. Dr. Garnett Bob Bee Stribling, born 29 November 1882, married Talitha Loretta Franklin (born 29 October 1887). Issue:

     1. Nian Marie, born 18 February 1910
     2. William Stokes, born 1 April 1911

     4. George Young, born May 1917

  2. Henry Eugene Stribling, born April 1886, never married; went west.
  3. Lilliam Grady Stribling, born 27 August 1888, died 1894.
  4. Myrtle Annie Stribling, born 7 June 1890, married Ellis Bryant and had one child.
• Henry Sammones West, born Spring Place, Georgia on 14 November 1857, married Marion Lampkin on 30 November 1887, the daughter of Lewis Lampkin of Athens. Issue:
  1. Lucy Leah West, born 4 May 1889, married (1) Walter Rylander Mathis on November 1907 and (2) Robbie Redwine. Issue by 1st marriage: Marion R. Mathis and Henry Edward Mathis.
  2. Andrew Lewis West, born 12 August 1891 (a doctor).
  3. Mary Haines West, born 10 September 1893.
  4. Marion Francis West, born 1 August 1895, married Henry Ried.
• Lou Kansas West, born Ellijay, Georgia on 22 January 1860, died Martin, Georgia on 19 July 1918, married on 17 October 1878, John Newton Telford (born 6 May 1854), the son of Harvy Telford of Commerce, Georgia. Issue:
  1. Lillian Iris Telford, born Homer, Georgia on 4 July 1881.
• Annie Grady West, born Ellijay, Georgia on 12 March 1863, died 23 May 1931, married on 12 October 1884 in Westminister, South Carolina, James Clarence Rudisill.(born 22 March 1862, died 16 November 1920), the son of James Rudsill of Cornelia, Georgia. Issue:
  1. Dorothy Annie Clare West Rudisill, born 26 July 1886 in Habersham Hall, Homerville, Georgia, married Oscar Lee Hooper ( born on 29 August 1885) on 12 November 1907. Issue:
     1. Wandsleigh Rudisill Hooper, born 29 November 1915.
     2. Margaret West Hooper, born 1916, buried in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida.
     3. James Clarence Rusisill, Jr., born 4 January 1900 in Atlanta, died 14 October 1918.
     4. Louise Grady Rudisill, born 26 July 1897, died same day, buried in Westview Cemetery.

James Clarence Rudisill, born 4 January 1900, died in service of World War on 14 January 1918, buried in Jesup, Georgia, age 18 years.

John Calhoun West, born Homer, Georgia on 5 November 1865, married on 16 June 1892 in Dahlonega, Sarah Wandsleigh Price (born 30 September 1869), the daughter of the late William Price of Dahlonega. Issue:

1. Wandsleigh West, born 11 June 1897, married on 18 August 1917, Dr. Leland F. Way, born 27 November 1893.
2. Norma Bell West, born 9 July 1901 in Atlanta, married Robert Ried Plowden

Garnett Lee West, born Homer, Georgia on 17 May 1868, married on 23 June 1891, Lallah Rook Remington (born 5 August 1874), the daughter of Aborn Remington. Issue:

1. Maud King West, born 5 August 1892, married Owen McConnell.
2. Thelma Remington West, born 10 June 1894, married Lewis Holloway.
3. Edith Woodfin West, born 1 May 1897.
