Wayne of Savannah
Richard Wayne was married to Julianna Smyth. He died 1809 in Savannah, when his LWT was probated. He owned a plantation, thousands of acres, slaves, etc. which he bequeathed to his two sons, James Moore Wayne and William Clifford Wayne. No one knows where his plantation was located, presumably the sons were located on parts of it. Issue:
- William Clifford Wayne.
- James Moore Wayne, Mayor of Savannah, was born 1790 in Savannah, Chatham County, Georgia and died 5 Jul 1867. He was the son of Richard Wayne and his wife, Elizabeth (Clifford) Wayne. James was married in Chatham County on 3 Mar 1813 to Mary I. Campbell. Issue:
- Richard Wayne, born 25 Apr 1804 in Savannah, died 27 June 1858 in Savannah.
