Hartwell Hill Tarver was born 1791 in Brunswick County, Virginia and died 19 Nov 1851 in Baker or Twiggs County. He was married to Ann Rutherford Wimberly, born 1805 in Washington, Wilkes County, Georgia. Issue:

• Paul E. Tarver, born 6 Mar 1824 in Twiggs County, died 19 June 1858, a resident of Baker County in 1850.
• Henry Andrew Tarver, born 26 Mar 1826 in Twiggs County, died 10 Feb 1897 in Baker County. He was married on 6 Mar 1850 to Elizabeth Griffin Solomon of Twiggs County (She died 1909). He acquired over 6,000 acres of land in Baker County and the property remained in the family until 1960. Issue:

Pinebloom was built ca 1848 by Hartwell Hill Tarver who owned thousands of acres west of the Flint River in Twiggs County.
