STEPHENS of Jefferson and Madison Counties, Georgia
Caleb N. Stephens, son of Stephen Stephens, born 1736 in Virginia, died 1811 and his wife, Sarah Hodge, was born 1800 in Georgia. He married Kessiah W. (born 1806 Georgia), and was found on the 1830 Jefferson County, Georgia Census. He later removed to Madison County where his family was listed on the 1850 census (also included was Susannah Hemphill age 50). He died 1853 in Madison County, Georgia. His wife, Kessiah, died 1861. Issue:
- William P. Stephens was born October 1827 in Georgia, died April 4, 1895 in Lake City, Craighead County, Arkansas.
- Margarett A. Stephens was born 1834 in Georgia.
- Elizabeth C. Stephens was born 1836 in Georgia.
- Amanda Stephens was born 1839 in Georgia.
- Caleb Monroe Stephens was born 1842 in Georgia.
- Eliza F. Stephens was born 1844 in Georgia.
