Stanford of Randolph County
Thomas Stanford, Sr. was born ca 1779. He married Keziah O Neal on 4 March 1799 in Columbia County, who was named as a daughter in the LWT of Edward O Neal, dated 26 November 1816, probated 8 July 1817 in Columbia County. He was a member of the jury (Columbia County) in the 1799 case of Naylor vs. Crookshanks. Issue:
Thomas Stanford, Jr. was born 15 May 1806 in Morgan County, died 3 February 1859. He married on 24 December 1835 Elizabeth Phillips (born 24 April 1819), the daughter of James and Mrs. Phillips of Morgan County. Issue:
- Martha Ann Missouri Stanford, born 1836, married John R. Scott of Stewart County, removed to Lockeburg, Arkansas.
- Mary Sophronia Stanford, born 15 May 1843, died Cuthbert on 4 September 1906. Never married.
- John Thaddeus Stanford, born 10 April 1846, died 10 July 1904, in Arkansas. He married Josephine Hodges on 10 November 1867.
- Joseph Newton Stanford, born 27 October 1848 in Randolph County, married on 27 October 1870 in Stewart County, Catherine Tate Dunaway, daughter of James Burton Dunaway and Clarissa Boykin Mathis. In 1909, he removed to Garniers, Santa Rosa County (now Ft. Walton Beach), Florida, where he died on 13 October 1920..
- James W. Stanford, born 4 November 1852, died 15 June 1922, married on 12 November 1876, Sarah Burr. He was a pharmacist in Cuthbert. Issue:
