MARSHALL SMITH was listed on the 1805 Land Lottery, resident of Hancock County, Georgia. His Will dated Baldwin County, Ga. 7/21/1815, probated 11/24/1817, named wife, Nancy, and children, Patsey, Lette, Elizabeth, Marshall, Reilly, and William. Also named, grandchildren, Polly Smith and Edward Barrett. Issue:
JOHN H. SMITH married Celia Lester 11/5/1807 in Baldwin Co., Ga. The Monroe Co. Estates mention that Seaton W. Smith was named as a minor son of John H. Smith on 11/6/1832, with James D. Lester named as guardian. Also named as an ophan of John H. Smith was John D. Smith, with Meade Leseure named as his guardian. His Will dated 11/13/1821, probated 7/3/1826 Baldwin County, Georgia, named his children:

Jasper County Deed Book 2, Page 83-4, 3/1/1809, Benjamin Cleveland of Franklin County to Jeremiah Smith of Baldwin County for $700, land in the 14th district of Randolph County, Lot No. 53.

The Milledgeville Journal, published 9/15/1821: "Colonel Francis Smith died Thursday morning. He had served as Representative and Senator from Baldwin County, was a Member of the Benevolent Lodge, the members of which will wear crepe for 30 days."

The Georgia Journal, published 9/21/1836: "Charles Smith died at the residence of his son-in-law in Monroe County, 9/21/1836, aged 55 years. He was Tax Collector of Baldwin County. "
