John Sledge, son of Charles and Mary Sledge, was born 1698 in Surry County, VIrginia and died there on 18 Dec 1750. He was married in 1720 to Mary Rebecca Ivey (1700-1752), a daughter of Hugh and Elizabeth Ivey. Issue:
