Sission of Edgefield County, South Carolina


Frederick Sisson died 9/1792 in Edgefield County. He had an early land grant in Edgefield County (then Granville) of land on the Little Saluda River. LWT dated 3/5/1792, probated September Term 1792. He married twice. Stepsons: Martin Smith and Wyly Smith. Children:

Saluda River
Saluda River. Edgefield County Deed Book 2, pp. 257-259. 95/1788. Drury Fort of Edgefield County, planter, to Henry Boalton of same place for 40 pounds, 50 acres on Mine Creek, a branch of Little Saluda, being part of 100 acres granted 20/31/1765 and bounded at the time of survey by lands of Frederick Sisson, Barrot Travis, Henry Boalton and William Humphries.
