Ryals of Bartow County

James G. Ryals was born 1824 in Georgia, minister. Wife, Mary E., was born 1829 in Georgia. Issue:

• Walter Ryals, born 1861 in Georgia.
• Edward Ryals, born 1864 in Georgia.
• Robert L. Ryals, born 1866 in Georgia.

Built ca 1854 by Rev. James Gazaway Ryals overlooking his 600-acre plantation near Cartersville. Ryals served as the local minister and as a teacher at the Stilesboro Academy in 1859.
