Richardson of Savannah
Walker Richardson was born in Virginia ca 1757 and came to Elbert County Georgia where he died in 1822. He was married to Prudence Thompson. Issue:
- Mary Walker Richardson.
- Frances Katherine Richardson, born 28 Feb 1786.
- William Norval Richardson (1790-1853).
- Martha Richardson.
- Prudence T. Richardson.
- Richard Richardson, born 26 Jan 1794. He was married to a daughter of Robert Bolton, Georgia's first postmaster. Richardson owned a large plantation in Chatham County, was a financier and president of the Savannah Bank of the US.
The Home of Richard Richardson in Savannah. In 1825 the Marquis de Lafayette visited the home and remarked on the unique cast-iron balcony on the south side of the house. Apparently Richardson sold the home about 1830 to George W. Owens.
