Allen Richardson, a son of John Richardson and his wife, Elizabeth Tate Richardson, was born 31 July 1786 in Henry County Virginia, and died 2 May 1867 in Upson County, Georgia, buried in Richardson Cemetery. He was married on 26 June 1811 in Oglethorpe County, Georgia to Sarah Olive, born 5 March 1793 in Wilkes County, died 19 April 1847 in Upson County (buried Richardson Cemetery), a daughter of Anthony Olive and his wife, Karenhappuch Hendon Olive. Issue:
- John Anthony Richardson, born 25 November 1812 Oglethorpe Co. He married Emily E. Torbert in Upson Co.
- Elizabeth Louisa Richardson, born 1 August 1814 Oglethorpe Co.
- Ann Karenhappuch Richardson, born 2 April 1816 Oglethorpe Co.
- Mary Olive Richardson, born 18 December 1817 Oglethorpe Co.
- James Tate Richardson, born 16 December 1820 Oglethorpe Co., died 14 October 1823.
- William Hendon Richardson, born 10 October 1822 Oglethorpe Co., died 8 July 1885. He married on 10 October 1844 in Upson Co., Sarah Lowe, who died in 1850. One child was born to them: Sarah, who married J. M. Mallory. William married (2) Mary E. Marshall, the daughter of Benjamin Marshall and his wife Miss Simmons. They had issue:
- Fannie Richardson married George A. Calloway.
- Ella Richardson married John D. Kennedy.
- Marshall Richardson married in 1886 to Effie Andrews, daughter of James Andrews and wife, Frances Calloway.
- Davis Thornton Richardson (Dr.), born 5 February 1825 Oglethorpe Co., died 27 January 1890 in Ben Franklin, Delta Co., Texas, buried in the Waller graveyard. He married Sarah Elizabeth Holloway on 8 January 1850 in Upson County.
- Martha Jane Richardson, born 16 October 1829 in Oglethorpe Co., died 1865, buried Richardson Cemetery.
- Francis Marion Richardson, born 17 June 1827 in Oglethorpe Co. Listed on the 1850 Upson Co. Tax Digest, GMD#561, land in 16th district. He married (1) Caroline Holt on 5 November 1851 in Upson Co. and (2) Sarah E. Spivey on 13 September 1854.
"Mr. Francis M. Richardson, one of the pioneer citizens of Atlanta, died at his home at 72 Angier Avenue on Mon. last. Mr. Richardson was throughly identified with the growth of Atlanta and was long a prominent factor in the business circles of that city... He was the father of Mr. F. H. Richardson, the brilliant orator and Editor of the Atlanta Evening Journal." The Covington Star, Covington, Georgia. November 30, 1894.
