Benjamin Redman> married Elizabeth Morehead on November 4, 1797 in Columbia County.

William Redman, son of Benjamin and Elizabeth, lived, first in Columbia County, then in Butts County. The inventory of his estate, Butts County, showed 51 hogs, 36 sheet, 13 cows, 21 calves, 5 steers, 2 mules, 2 horses and 1 colt, and 48 items of goods and chattel at the total value of $1506.25. The notes (due deceased) in his estate were given was follows:

Annual Return of 1833 is for the hire of negroes and renting the plantation of William Redman, deceased, for 1833. Mary Redman given the negroes, and David McGough, the plantation. G. McGruder given the plantation in Columbia County.

On March 13, 1834, Account of Sale of 340 acres of land in Columbia County as being the property of William Redman, deceased, sold on terms to A. C. Zachery for $1,000 to be paid in three payments.
