Richard Proctor settled on Borrell Creek in Camden County, where he built a sawmill. The Last Will and Testament of Richard Proctor was probated 6 September 1813, wherein he named William and Hester Proctor as his children.

William Proctor was born 19 July 1797, died 22 February 1871. He was married to Margaret Eve Mickler DeMott (born 1799, died 10 July 1842), the widow of John DeMott in December of 1797 in Camden County. Both of them are buried in the Oak Grove Cemetery. William was Mayor of St. Marys in 1870. Issue:
A. Daniel Robert Proctor was born on 3 January 1830 in Camden County. His plantation was located at Princess Bluff on Crooked River. He was married to Ann Eugenia Sandiford (born on St. Helena Island, South Carolina on 25 December 1831) on 10 May 1852, the daughter of James Henry Sandiford.
