William Prince, son of William and Agnes Prince, was born 1584 in Lydney, Gloucester, England, d. 1630, m. Ann and had issue:

Edward Prince b. 1608, lived in Bristol, England, d. in Virginia, m. 17 Jan 1629 Mary Yeat, the daughter of Henry and Mary Yeats. Issue:

John Prince, born 1659 Surry Co., Virginia. 18 April 1739, Surry Co. Wills, p.2, Attachment of Richard Hardy against the Estate of John Prince who has lately absconded named Benjamin Hardy, Roger Ingram, Richard Hamlin, Roger Delk, Newell Edwards and Thomas Shelby. Issue:

Edward Prince b. 1680 Surry Co., Virginia, d. 1758 in Prince Edward Co., Virginia. The age of Edward Prince is established in a statement which he made on 19 June 1719, as a witness to the LWT of Gilbert Hay. Edward Prince, age 39 years, deposes that he was witness to said will and heard the same as Gilbert Hay.

On 16 Dec 1723, Adam Ivie of the Isle of Wight Co. deeded to Edward Prince of Prince George Co., 130 acres of land in Martins Brandon Parish, for 35 pounds, bounded on the east by Gilbert Hay, south by Robert Hobbs, and Capt. John Poythress, west by land lately sold by Mr. Peter Poythress, and north by Gilbert Hay. Issue: Nicholas, James, Joseph, Gilbert, Daniel, William, and John.

Daniel Prince, b. ca 1730, d. 1793 Union Co., S. C., listed 1790 Union Co, S. C. Census. Wife, Lydia. His LWT dtd 4/1/1793 Union Co., Bk A, P. 11. Issue: William Prince; Joseph Prince, John Prince, Sr. of Union Co., S. C.; and Edward Prince and Richard Prince of Pendleton district, S. C. Richard Prince's LWT recorded Bk A, P. 19, Spartanburg Co., S. C., named Isam, Celia, Sarah, and Elizabeth, as heirs. Issue:

I. Edward Prince, Sr., son of Daniel Prince, was b. ca 1755, d. after 1820 Union Co., S. C., listed 1790-1800 Union Co. S. C. Census. He also owned lands in Pendleton dlst. 1800 Census of Pendleton District, S. C., by National Genealogical Society, P. 73: "Robert Goodloe Harper was living in Charleston, S. C. in November 1794, when he bought 30 tracts of several thousand acres in Pendleton District from Hugh Middleton and Edward Prince of South Carolina " The issue of Edward Prince, Sr., follows:

C., b. bef 1755, was listed on 1800 Greenville Co., S. C. Census. Wife, Lucy. His LWT dtd 9/28/1816, pvd 10/3/1818 Abbeville, naming children: Joseph and Edward; grand-dau, . Susan Black; son-in-law , Hudson Prince; seven gr-children by name of Clerk, and a bequest to Sally Bevel of $100. His other children were established by LWT of his son, John W. 19 Sept 1720, Charles Williams and wife, Ann Williams, of Waynoke Parish in Prince George County, carpenter, to Edward Prince, Clerk of Westopher Parish in Prince George County, for 8 pounds lawful money, 145 acres on the south side of main Blackwater Swamp (being part of 295 acres formerly belonging to William Williams of Prince George County) and bounded by Indian Robins Branch and William Williams.

17 Dec 1751, Edward Prince and his wife, Hannah Prince, to Travis Griffis for 45 pounds current money, 250 acres on the west side of Blackwater Swamp (being part of two patents, viz: 150 acres granted William Williams of Prince George County on 23 Mar 1715 and 200 acres granted William Peebles on 13 Oct 1727.

17 Oct 1757.

Samuel Carlile to Joseph Prince for 19 pounds current money, 190 acres on the south side of Nottoway River and bounded by Gilbert Prince, Cockes Branch and the Great Swamp.
