Apparently, SHERROD PORCH, HARWELL PORCH AND THOMAS PORCH came from Virginia, possibly Sussex, Greensville, Southampton, Stafford or Surry Co. into Georgia before 1805, at which time Harwell (Hartwell) Porch drew in 1805 Ga. Land Lottery, a res. of Oglethorpe Co.

WILLIAM PORCH received a Land Grant of 103 acres in Clarke Co., Ga., in 1816. He is listed on 1820 Clarke Co. Census next door to Sherrod (Sherwood) Porch, as being aged 45 and over. I am not certain if this age designation is correct (blurred), since he has such young children, from 5 to 8.

Henry Porch m. Patience Hargrove 3/12/1810 Putnam Co., Ga. Patience drew in 1832 Putnam Co. Land Lottery.

Then, it would seem that William, Henry, Thomas and Sherrod Porch all came from Virginia (all b. 1780's, 1790's and marrying after 1803 in Ga.), and settled in Hancock, Putnam, Clarke, and Meriwether Counties in Ga., and had a sister, Heardy Porch who married Edward Hagin in Clarke Co.
