Plaster



Benjamin Plaster Sr., son of John Plaster Sr. and his wife, Mary Richmond, was one of the pioneer settlers to Fulton County (formerly DeKalb). He was born ca 1782 in Rowan County, North Carolina and went to Franklin County, Georgia to what is now Fulton County, settling on Peachtree Creek and Clear Creek He owned land in the 17th district, Lot 58. He served as a private during the War of 1812 in Captain Garrett L. Sandidge's Company, Major William Alexander's Battalion of Riflemen, Georgia Militia, from August 26, 1813 to March 4, 1814. He was married to Sarah Sewell on October 10, 1812. Benjamin Plaster Sr. died November 25, 1836 and was buried in the Plaster cemetery. Issue:
