Parr of Carroll and Clarke Counties
Benjamin Parr was born 1 September 1761 in Jersey. He served in the American Revolution (1777) Capt. Speirs and Major Sears; also under General Holt in the Second Regiment of the New Jersey Militia. After the war, about 1787, he removed to North Carolina; thence to Wilkes County, Georgia in 1789. He later removed to Franklin County, then Clarke County. He married Patsey McKinney in Wilkes County, North Carolina on 25 July 1790. He died 22 December 1842 in Carroll County. Issue:
- Mary Curwin Parr, born 25 May 1791, died young.
- William Lenoir Parr, born 25 June 1792. He married (1) Ann Weir and (2) Jane Bell Weir, listed on 1850 Carroll County, Georgia Census. He was included in the application for pension by his mother. Issue:
- Isabel Parr, born 1832, Carroll County.

- Martha Dinkley Parr, born 26 October 1795. She married Edwin Akin on 22 December 1812 in Clarke County.
- John Curwin Parr, born 25 March 1797, died 19 September 1823. He married 27 August 1816, Margaret Bolton. Issue:

- Rebecca Carlton Parr, born 11 October 1799.
- Charles Dougherty Parr, born 9 June 1803/5, died 30 September 1857. His LWT, Charles D. Parr, of Fulton Co., dated 1857, Fulton County Wills, named wife, Sarah D. Children: Lewis J., Benjamin W., Mary A. Wits: Aaron I. Knight, James G. McLin,James Caldwell. He married (1) Sarah Daniel Dupree on 6 March 1828. Lived in Clarke County in 1830, and DeKalb County in 1840. Issue:
- Lewis Jarrell Parr, born 19 May 1829, died 1907. He married on 19 December 1848, Lucy Pope Dickens of Athens. Issue:

- Sadie Parr, died 1951. She married L. B McKenzie.
- Edd Parr, died 1933.
- Lena Parr, died in Tampa, Florida. She married J. M. Fisher.
- Kate Parr married Horace P. Eagleton.
- Mae Parr died 1916.
- Emma Parr married W. Z. Overbay. They lived in Bartow, Florida.

- Benjamin Wilson Parr, born 1831, died 8 May 1899. He married Nancy Dickens (died 3 September 1854). His second wife was Mary Malinda Corley (born 9 October 1838, died 3 September 1855) on 8 May 1899. He was a member of the Atlanta City Council. Issue:
i. Emma Tallulah Parr, born 30 May 1859, died 19 December 1939. She married Pedrez Cleveland Lumpkin (1856-1943).
ii. Sarah Amanda Parr, born 30 January 1862, died September 1941. She married Reid Hairston.
iii. Charles Parr, born 11 July 1866 married (1) Irene Landrem (2) Nora Moore.
iv. Samuel Parr, born 13 February 1869, died young.
v. William Benjamin Parr, born 25 April 1871, died 4 May 1964. He married Bessie Watts.

- Mary Martha Parr, born 1 June 1836. She married (1) Mr. Craven (2) M. A. Glenn.

- Elizabeth Beasley Parr, born 7 June 1806. She married Rodman Sisson (1802-1829) on 4 November 1824.
- Daniel Wilson McKinney Parr, born 7 May 1807.
- Benjamin James Parr, born 8 August 1812. He married (1) Maria Wilson on 15 January 1835, Jackson County and (2) Catherine Sisson. Issue by first marriage:
