James Olive was born ca 1720 in London, England, died 22 January 1805 in Wake County, North Carolina where he married Elizabeth in 1740. Issue:

1. James Olive, born 1744 North Carolina, died 1800.
2. William Olive, born 1745 North Carolina, died 1827.
3. Anthony Olive was born 1754 in Johnston County, North Carolina and died 1 March, 1798 in Oglethorpe County, Georgia. He married Kerenhappuch Hendon. LWT of Anthony Olive, Oglethorpe Will Book A, pp. 69-70, LWT dated 20 January 1798. Directed that his mill tract located on the Broad River be sold by executors and goods to be divided between his wife and children. Executors: Wife, Karenhappock, Robinson Hendon and Joseph Embry.
4. Southwood Olive, born 1750/1752 in Johnston Co., North Carolina, died 1835.
5. John Olive died 1827.
6. Jesse Olive, born 1755/1762 in Johnston Co., North Carolina, died 1830 in Wake County, North Carolina.
7. Abel Olive, born 20 July 1765 in Johnston County, N. C., died 22 August 1822 in Trigg County, Kentucky.
8. Hendon Olive, born 1780 in Johnston Co., North Carolina, listed on 1850 Oglethorpe Co, Georgia Census. He was married to Sally Hartsfield in Oglethorpe County on 3 Dec 1806. Issue:
   

   1. Anthony Olive born 1819 in Oglethorpe Co. He was married in Oglethorpe County on 6 Dec 1845 to Harriet A. Carithers.

   2. William H. Olive, born 1825 in Oglethorpe Co.
   3. Franklin Olive, born 1827 in Oglethorpe Co., physician.
   4. Jesse G. Olive, born 1830 in Oglethorpe Co., married Arian Collier 29 Oct 1851 in Oglethorpe County.
