Moon of Pennsylvania, Virginia and Greene County, Georgia
The Moons followed the Quaker Trail, residing in areas where Quakers lived before moving on to Bedford County, Virginia, Bucks County, Pennsylvania, Frederick County, Virginia, Orange County, North Carolina and Columbia County, Georgia.
James Moon (est. b. ca 1650) of Bucks County, Pennsylvania married Joan, who was deceased in, as per the following deed (which also establishes a son, James):
Bucks County, Pa Deed Book A, Vol. 1, p. 195.
Bond of James Moon of Bucks Co., planter, and James Hill of Burlington, N. J., yeoman, bound unto Phinehas Pemberton and Randolph Blackshaw for 100 pds. Wit: Thomas Lambert, Henry Margerum and Joseph Crop. Recorded: 20th day, 10th month, 1688.
The following deed without a date, was no doubt recorded later, as it was not acknowledged until 11 December 1706 and recorded 18 December 1706. Joan Moon was already dead, so the date was prior to 1688.
