Mickler of Camden County
Jacob Mickler, son of Peter Mickler, Revolutionary War Soldier, was born ca 1755 in South Carolina. He came to Georgia sometime after the Revolutionary War and settled in Camden County. Jacob Mickler received bounty grants of land 1790 and 1795 in Clarke County. Jacob and Peter Mickler (brother) were found on the 1794 Camden County Tax Digest. The family settled in the now historical town of St. Marys, Georgia, Jacob Mickler died ca 1795/1796 in Camden County. He was married to Eve and had by her five children. After Jacob's death, Eve married James Nickels Wright (he died in Camden County in 1803, his LWT dated 12 June 1800 in Camden Co.) Wright bequeathed his estate to his wife and her children, Sarah Mickler, Margaret Mickler and Jane Mickler, and designated her sons, William and Peter Mickler, as executors of his last will and testament. Eve died in 1827 and was buried in the St. Marys Cemetery beside her two husbands. Before her death she was adjudged insane and her son, William Mickler, was appointed her guardian on 6 January 1825.

- Peter Mickler, born 1775 in South Carolina, married Lydia Allen 28 December 1797 (date of marriage license)in Camden Co.
- William Mickler, born 1776 in South Carolina, married Temperance Matthews April 1796 (date of marriage license) in Camden Co. Temperance was born 1774 in Virginia. The family removed to Columbia County, Florida about 1831. where William homesteaded land. Later, Columbia County became Suwannee County, where he died about 1845. Issue:

2-William Mickler, Jr., born 1801 in Camden Co., married Elizabeth.
3-Margaret Mickler, born 1803 in Camden Co., died after 1850, unmarried.
4-Matthew Mickler, born 1811 in Camden Co., married Sarah A. Baisden, daughter of Josiah.
5-Lawrence K. Mickler, born 1816 in Camden Co., married Martha Lowe, the daughter of Horatio.
6-Eleanor Mickler, born 1819 in Camden Co., married George Miller on 5 July 1840 in Hamilton County, Florida.
- Jacob Mickler, Jr., born 1777 in South Carolina, married Catherine Clark 19 August 1796 (date of marriage license) in Camden Co., probably a daughter of Henry Clark, Revolutionary War Soldier of Connecticut. The LWT of Jacob Mickler was dated 1 May 1809, probated 1816 in Camden County, wherein he named his daughter: Margaret. Sons: William, Jacob, Peter. Executors: William Mickler, David G. Jones.
- Elizabeth Mickler, born 1779 in South Carolina, married Mr. Delliber.
- Margaret Mickler, born 1784 in South Carolina, married John Bailey, Jr.
- Mary Mickler, born 1786 married Robert Rudolph; divorced in 1808. The LWT of Robert Rudolph was dated 21 January 1816 and probated on 21 November 1817 in Camden County. He named his wife: Elizabeth. Nephews: John Rudolph, son of Zebulon Rudolph and Francis Ripley, son of Robert Ripley. Executors: Wife and James Vincent of St. Marys.
- Sarah Mickler, born 1788 married Lewis Thomas.
- Jane Mickler, born 1792 in Camden County, married Duncan Curry.
