Marbury of Edgefield County, South Carolina and Georgia
Leonard Marbury was born 1698, lived in Edgefield County, South Carolina before removing to Georgia where he died in 1794.

Died
on April 29th last at Capt. Horatio Marbury's on the Kiokos, Mr. Leonard Marbury, Sr., aged 93 years. Survived by three sons, three daughters, and 96 grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and
great-great-grandchildren.

husband, John Martin, and present husband, Horatio Marbury

conveyed on 7 March 1780 by Nicholaus Eveleigh to Leonard Marbury, late of Georgia, and said
Marbury conveyed to Peter Carnes on Burkhalters Creek, a branch of the Savannah River.
