Lowe of Harris County

Henry Lowe married Elizabeth Tarver, a daughter of Benjamin Tarver, an early settler to Jones County. They were natives of North Carolina and came to Georgia about 1800 to Jones County. He was a soldier in the Revolutionary War. Issue:

• Henry H. Lowe was born 1796, farmer. He married (1) Bethena Littleton and (2) Maria A. (born 1808 Georgia). Issue:
  1. Henry L. Lowe, born 1818 in Jones County, Georgia. He was a Clerk in Macon until 1843, then removed to Griffin, and later to Harris County. He married (1) in 1850 Edith T. Kilgore (born Pike County, died 1878), daughter of John V. and Eliza (Woods) Kilgore, an early settler to Pike County, soldier in the Seminole War; died Harris County. He married (2) Sallie Lynch (born Pike County, Georgia), daughter of George J. Lynch and his wife, Elizabeth Holly. Issue:

  1. Jackson Lowe.
  2. Benjamin F. Lowe.
  3. John H. Moore.
