Southy Littleton Jr. of Monroe County
Southy Littleton, Jr. was born ca 1776, died 1848 Monroe County,
Georgia. He was located in Wilkes County, Georgia when, on 7 March 1809
he gave a receipt on the Estate of William Lea. Also, he was appointed guardian of
Lindsey, the orphan of Mary Morris in 1808, Wilkes Co.

He gave his age as 26 (1824), however in the three following censuses he gave an age which would have
put his birth year at 1827, 1827, and 1826. He is listed 5 dwellings from Southey , listed with his wife
Caroline DRAKE, dau. of William DRAKE, son of Epaphroditus DRAKE of Hancock Co. William
DRAKE wandered across GA., before leaving Pike Co., to go along with Southey and James to
Marion Co., AL. Both Southey LITTLETON and William DRAKE were in Itawamba Co., MS.,
in time for the 1860 census. William died in MS., but Southey III went back to Marion Co., AL.,
after the 1870 census.
