LEWIS



Christopher Lewis was christened on 14 May 1581 in Stephney, St. Mary, Whitechappel, London, England, and died 1673 in Surry Co., Virginia. He married Anne Exton, daughter of William Exton and his wife, Alice Rowe, on 9 November 1618 in London, England.

Virginia Patent Book No. 2. "Capt. Christopher Lewis, 400 acres, James City County, 4 July 1649, p. 175, on southside of James River bounded NW upon river, NE and NW upon the Gleeb, NE on Martin's Brandon, SSE upon George Bircher's land and WSW on lands of John Wall, formerly granted by patent 29 June 1653."

Virginia Patent Book No. 2. "Christopher Lewis, 750 acres, Isle of Wight Co., 26 Jul 1652, p. 109, about a mile to the SW of Henry Whites plantation at the blackwater trans. 15 persons."
