Letson of Butts County
David Letson was born on 31 December 1824 in Butts County, Georgia, died 9 September 1897 in Chaulksville, Alabama. He married on 31 January 1844 in Butts County, Susan Martin (Born 21 December 1826 Georgia, died 18 May 1898). They resided in Butts County, Georgia until about 1859, when they removed to Jefferson County, Alabama.[1]

Deed Book F, page 399. 27 July 1850, Janall and Duffy to David W. T. Letson of Butts County, land in the 3rd District, of originally Monroe County, now Butts County, north of Brushy Creek, "it being the place whereon David W. T. Letson now resides", in Lot 182.
