Lester of Oglethorpe County



Thomas Lester died 1807 in Oglethorpe, his LWT in Book A, , 10/31/1806:7/9/1807, p. 175-176. Named Son: John Lester, negro man Sippco, one negro boy Ambros, man Joe and boy Also my tract of land where Lewis J. Dupree now lives containing 230 acres, also 40 acres adjoining the above tract in the fork of Clouds Creek. To my son, George, a negro man Lewis, woman Sail, boy Minor, man Peter, boy girl Sucky, a good horse and saddle, etc., also my tract of 300 acres I now live adjoining Joseph Beadles, George Fa----, and William Barnett. The remainder of my estate to be equally divided between my two sons John and George, as I have already provided for my two daughters. Executors: sons, John and George Lester. Witnesses: M. Stokes, Richard Hargrove, Walter Johnson..
