Key of Banks County, Georgia
Tandy Key was a native of Banks County, Georgia. He married Miss Anna Cockran (license) on January 7, 1806 in Jackson County, Georgia. He died 1838, his LWT dated June 1836, probated December 17, 1838 in Russell County, Alabama. Issue:
- Harriett Key married Mr. Phelps.
- Mary Key married Madison R. Mitchell on February 6, 1827 in Jackson County.
- Virginia Key married John Appleby on October 14, 1830 in Jackson County.
- Caroline Key married Mr. Clark.
- Susannah Key married Mr. Wilkerson.
- Martha Ann Key married Mr. Jefferson C. Moreland on December 24, 1835 in Jackson County.

- George W. Madison Troup Key married on July 13, 1818 in Jefferson County, Georgia, Delilah Embry. He died in Meriwether County, Georgia. Delilah died 1869 in Madison, Georgia. Issue:
- Pierce C. Key died May 25, 1864, his LWT dated in Banks County, Georgia. He married Elizabeth Hunter Ash on November 29, 1849 in Franklin County, Georgia. He enlisted as a Confederate in the War Between the States, and died at the Battle of Griswoldville, Georgia. Issue:
- Tandy E. Key was born September 24, 1850 in Banks County, Georgia and married Miss Lizzie Cooper, the daughter of John Z. Cooper of Athens. He was educated in Jackson County, at the Martin Institute, and went into the merchandising business in Harmony Grove, Jackson County. He was twice elected Mayor of Harmony Grove, in 1891-1892, and represented Jackson County in the Legislature in 1886.
