Jarrard of Habersham, Lumpkin & White Counties



David Jarrard, the son of Ansel Jarrard was born 25 August 1782 in Pendleton District, South Carolina , died 10 March 1868 in Lumpkin County, Georgia, buried in the Mossy Creek Campground.. He married Frances Roe. Listed on the 1820-1830 Habersham County, Georgia Census, 4 sons, 2 daughters.

James Coats Jarrard 1803-1894, buried Mt. Zion Cemetery, Rabun County, Georgia.

[2] "Elder David N. Jarrard was born Habersham County on 3 June 1832, son of James Coats Jarrard and Mary. He had a brother, Elder William West Jarrard, Baptist Minister. He was of English extraction. His great-grandfather emigrated from England to this country and settled in the middle colonies. He was killed by the Tory element during the struggle for independence.
