- Hartwell Jackson, born 5 July 1777 in North Carolina, married (1) on 13 January 1801, Elizabeth Bostwick. After her death, he married (2) Margaret Bradford (born 1791 Georgia) on 29 October 1818 in Wilkes County. The first wife was the mother of 10 children and the second wife was the mother of 13 children. (Three children died in infancy) Hartwell died 15 July 1858 in Watkinsville, Georgia, in Oconee County. His LWT dated 9 April 1851, Codicil dated 19 March 1855, probated 1 August 1859 in Clarke County, named wife, Margaret. Executors: Sons, Hillman and Drewry W. Jackson. Daughters: Sarah Caroline, Amelia; deceased daughter, Mary Cook, the wife of Nathan Cook. He was listed on the 1850 Clarke County, resident of Watkinsville, farmer.
