Hyde Family of Chamblee, Georgia

William J. Hyde, minister, was born 1845 in South Carolina and was married to Mrs. Tabitha Mabry, born 1843. Tabitha had a son by her first marriage, Seaborn Mabry, born 1862 in Georgia. They were residents of Dawsonville, Dawson County, on the 1880 Census. Issue:

Olie M. Hyde (daughter), born 1869 in Georgia.
Mary C. Lyde, born 1871 in Georgia.
Martha A. Hyde, born 1876 in Dawsonville.
Oscar Hyde, born 1878 in Dawsonville, Georgia. Oscar removed to Chamblee, Georgia before 1907 where he served as mayor. Here Oscar is featured with his children, Marian and Marvin. Oscar's father was born 1845 in South Carolina and was a minister, married twice, the second time to Mrs. Tabitha Mabry, who is the mother of Oscar. Tabitha brought with her to the marriage her son, Seaborn Mabry. Tabitha was also the mother of Oscar's sister, Martha A. Hyde (born 1876). Oscar had a daughter, Edna, who was married to Gene Carroll, Jr. of Chamblee.
