Holleman of Bibb County
John Joseph Holleman was born in Virginia, coming to Georgia early during the 19th century. He married Martha Johnston on 2 October 1834 in Bibb County. Issue:
Lenius (Leniers) Barton Holleman married on 21 January 1858 in Bibb County, Julia Huff, the daughter of Travis Huff and his wife, Candace Maund. Julia H. Holleman died 1868, and is buried in the Travis Huff Cemetery on Houston Road, US Hwy 41 South, in Bibb County. Issue:
- Joseph Travis Holleman was born 7 December 1858 in the house which his grandfather built (Travis Huff) in Bibb County, near Macon. He attended the field schools in Bibb and Houston Counties, as well as Old Penfield and the University of Georgia.
