Bulloch Co., Ga. Deed Bk 7, p. 2-3, "Ordered that David Goodman, Sr., Robert Donaldson, Joshua Hodges, Aaron Everitt and Samuel Wilson be appointed commissioners and dividers, to examine, appraise and divide estate of Philip Grover, deceased, among his heirs equally."

Bulloch Co., Ga. Deeds, Bk AAA, p. 325: 1/17/1805 Joshua Hodges, Sr. sold James Deli for $150, 300 acres. Dorothy Hodges, wife of Joseph, also signed. Witnesses: Joseph Hodges, Jr., Jarvis Jay, J. Ct. Deed endorsed by John Dell and Joseph Hodges.

P. 330: 11/8/1806, Benjamin Hodges to John Dell $250, 350 acres. Signed by Benjamin and Dorothy Hodges. Witness: Joshua Hodges.

The LWT of Joshua Hodges, Jr. dtd 8/21/1839, pvd 11/5/1841 Bulloch Co., Ga., names wife, Rebecca and children: James P., Benjamin, Moses L., George William Asberry Washington, Frances C., Rhoda (m. Lemuel S. Lanier 4/11/1844 Bulloch Co., Ga.), Joshua F. and Nancy Brannen. From newspaper Southern Christian Advocate published in Charleston, S. C. Dated d 10/8/1841: Joshua Hodges died in Bulloch Co., Ga., aged 71. Died 9/7/1841.

  7. Rhoda Hodges. The marriage given for her by McCall's Roster of Revolutionary War Soldiers in Georgia states she married Lemuel S. Lanier. This marriage took place in 1844 to Rhoda, a daughter of Joshua, Jr. (above)
