Thomas W. Higginbotham was born on 7 November 1822, died 6 June 1885. He married Emily King (14 April 1848-19 February 1923). Issue:

Lemuel King Higginbotham, born 14 March 1879, died 30 July 1956, married Nellie Ripley Stewart on 27 February 1898. She was born 26 May 1881, died 11 October 1952. Issue:

• Emily Margaret Higginbotham, born 24 December 1898.

• Helen King Higginbotham, born 3 December 1902.
• Pauline Stewart Higginbotham, born 18 March 1905.

• Henry Lemuel Higginbotham, born 30 April 1910.
• Condry Clinton Higginbotham, born 19 May 1916.
