Benjamin Harris died before 1794 in Columbia County. A Power of Attorney dated 7/26/1794, recorded 9/9/1801 in Columbia County of Sarah Harris, executrix of the Last Will and Testament of Benjamin Harris, appoints James Harris to recover all monies due or property owing to her from the estate of Benjamin Forsythe of Virginia. His LWT was signed on 11/6/1785 in Richmond County. Appraisers were appointed on 12/17/1785, no record of the probate. Named were sons: George, Benjamin, Zepheniah and James. Daughters: Mary, Sarah, Belinda and Rachel.
Benjamin Harris, son of Benjamin, gave a deed recorded in Edgefield County Deed Book 1, pp. 48-51, dated 8/21/1787, Benjamin Harris and wife, Sophia of Augusta, Georgia to Casper Nail, Jr. of Edgefield County for 125 pounds, sold 200 acres bounded by Casper Neal, Sr. and David Zubly, which land was granted to the said Benjamin Harris on 1/21/1785.
Deed, Columbia County dated 4/5/1796 of Benjamin Harris, planter, and his wife, Jane, to James Olive, planter, for 100 pounds Sterling, 173 acres located on Greenbriar Creek.
