Guerry of South Carolina & Wilkinson County, Georgia

Theodore Guerry, the son of James Guerry, was born 1745 and died 1809 in South Carolina. He was a Revolutionary War Soldier. He married Martha Eugenia Dumry (born 1762, died 1809) in 1785. His LWT dated 28 January 1809, St. Stephen’s Parish, South Carolina. Issue:

• Theodore Guerry, born 1795 in South Carolina. Listed on the 1820-1840 Wilkinson County, Georgia Census and the 1850 Holmes County, Mississippi Census. He married Mary (born 1797). Issue:
  1. Theodore L. Guerry, born 1813 in South Carolina, farmer. Wife, Martha (born 1820 in Georgia). Residents of Quitman County, 1880.[1] Issue:

     1. Mary Guerry, born 1845 in Wilkinson County, married Mr. Brannon. Issue:

     1. William Brannon, born 1868 in Wilkinson County.

  2. Samuel James Videau Guerry, born 30 June 1815 in Wilkinson County, Georgia, died 11 June 1886 in Rover, Yell County, Arkansas. He married Mary Dorothy, probably a sister of Mark Moor Brown. Issue:

  1. Samuel Guerry, born 1835, died 1927 in Texas, married in 1867, Houston, Texas. Issue: a. Wyatt Guerry.
