Goolsby of Oglethorpe County
John Tarrington Goolsby was born ca 1735 and died 1808 in Oglethorpe County. He was probably a son of Samuel Goolsby of Amherst County, Virginia. Wife: Elizabeth. LWT of JohnN T. Goolsby dated 2 November 1805,, probated 14 January 1808 in Oglethorpe Co. bequeathing Negroes to his children.

- William Goolsby, born 1770 married Martha (Patsey) Matthews 15 February 1796 in Oglethorpe County.
