WILLIAM P. GOODALL
WILLIAM P. GOODALL was b. 1842 in Georgia, d. 3/1888. He was a bank clerk in Macon and lived in the prominent Flood House Hotel in 1850. He invested in many lands which he considered "wild " because they were not under cultivation, located in various Georgia counties, even though he lived in Macon. In Ware Co., he owned 6860 acres in Clinch Co., 2450 acres in Berrien Co., 1470 acres in Wayne Co., 1450 acres in Pearce Co., 490 acres in Irwin Co., 490 acres; Coffee Co., 490 acres; Pulaski Co., 202-1/2 acres; Millen Co., 500 acres; Lumpkin Co., 40 acres in Gilmer Co., 160 acres; and 4 lots in Talbot Co. William Goodall's grandmother was in the Graduate Class of 1850 at Wesleyan Female College, a young woman 17 years old.Source: 1850 Bibb County Census
