Goldsmith Families of Fulton and DeKalb Counties



WILLIAM GOLDSMITH, brother of Turner Goldsmith, was b. 1796 S. C., Merchant, listed on 1850 DeKalb Co., Ga. Census, Stone Mountain, who died 1852 when B. F. Veal and Andrew J. Goldsmith were made admrs. Issue: TURNER GOLDSMITH, brother of William (above), was b. 1802 in Greenville County, South Carolina, farmer, listed on 1850-1860 Cass Co., Ga. Census, d. Fulton Co., Ga., his Will dtd 5/12/1888, probated 8/25/1903, Fulton Co., WB O, P. 266, naming daughter, Maria Louisa Howard, grandson, William M. Goldsmith, and grandchildren: Cora Gray and her sister, Lula T. Lyon, and their brother, George H. Tumlin. He bequeaths "My interest in Land Lot 50, First District, Rabun Co., 490 acres; my 7/8 interest in a Gold Mine in Land Lot 265, 21st District, 2nd Section, Cherokee Co. (The other 1/8th belongs to estate of G. W. Garmon). Turner Goldsmith m. Mariah b. 1812 S. C. and had issue:
