EDMONDSON

Thomas Edmondson (Edmundson) was born ca 1655, died 1715 in Essex Co., Virginia. He lived in old Rappahannock County which became Essex County in 1692. His LWT was probated in Essex County 20 December 1715. He was married twice, 1st to Anne (by 1667) and 2nd, Mary (by 1673).

""Thomas Edmundson, 50 acres of west or King's land, Essex Co., 24 April 1700, between land of Mr. John Smith of Gloucester, formerly the land of Cox, and land bought by said Edmundson of Mr. Robert Yard; beg. near his own Tobacco ground fence; to his cornfeild & Trans. of: Sarah Johnson."

Joseph Edmondson, son of Thomas Edmondson, was born ca 1678, died 1743 in Craven County, North Carolina. He married Priselow (born ca 1682) ca 1703 of Craven County. Issue:

Patience was b. ca 1770, died October 1826 Putnam Co., Ga. On 25 January 1796, Thomas Edmond purchased 200 acres on the North side of Greenbrier Creek from Reuben Dyer, originally granted to Peter Lawrence and by him conveyed to Dyer on 13 Jan 1776, for 80 pds. Later, on 1 March 1803, he added 200 acres on the North side of Greenbrier Creek, originally granted to Peter Lawrence, sold to him to Reuben Dyer on 13 Jan 1776, by Dyer to said Harris 7 July 1771, whereon said Edmondson lives. Thomas Edmondson sold Waters Dunn 33 acres on Great Kiokee Creek, adj. said Dunn on 29 Jan 1799. Issue:
