EBERHART of Madison County, Georgia
Jacob Eberhart died in Elbert County, Georgia in 1811, his LWT dated 6/26/1810, probated 1/4/1811. Jacob came to America from Germany in 1745 and settled in Georgia. There is a Jacob Eberhart listed as a passenger on the ship "Two Brothers", Thomas Arnet, Captain, from Rotterdam, last from Cowes, on 21 September 1751. Issue:
- Christenah Eberhart married Mr. McElreath.
- Jacob Eberhart was born 1767, Revolutionary War Soldier. He was listed on the 1840 Georgia Pension List, resident of Oglethorpe County, as aged 83 years.
- David Eberhart.
- Catherine Eberhart married Mr. Patten.
- George Eberhart was born 1762, listed on 1820-1850 Madison County, Georgia Census. His first wife was Margaret Patten. His second wife was Sarah A. Griffeth(born 1814) whom he married in Madison County on December 20, 1832. He died in 1848. Issue by first wife:
- Jacob Eberhart was born 1797 in Madison County, Georgia. He was a prosperous farmer and was elected state senator from Oglethorpe and Madison Counties. He died on his farm in Madison County in 1862. He married Elizabeth (Letty), a daughter of John and Elizabeth Wynn, of Madison County. Issue:
- Adeline Eberhart was born 1834 Georgia.
- Isaac Eberhart was born 1837 Madison County, Georgia.
- Harrison Eberhart was born 1838 Madison County, Georgia.
- Jacob B. Eberhart, physician, was born in Madison County. He was a large slave owner and served in the Civil War; later being Justice of the Inferior Court of Madison County. He died in 1887. In 1861 he enlisted in Company E, Capt. Martin, 50th Georgia Regiment, and fought in the battles of Murfressboro, Black Grove and Chickamauga. In 1856 he married Mildred M., the daughter of David and Elizabeth (Snelling) Bell.

- James G. Eberhart, farmer, was born 1834 in Madison County, Georgia. In 1862, he joined Comnpany E of the 37th Georgia Regiment, under Capt. Tholston (killed at Jonesborough). He Eberhart was then made Captain, and participated in the Battles of Missionary Ridge. In 1864 he married Lusetta Goolsby (born 1844), the daughter of T. B. and Martha Goolsby from Oglethorpe County.
- George E. Eberhart was born 1837.
- Margaret Eberhart was born 1841.
- Mary H. Eberhart was born 1844.
- Sarah C. Eberhart was born 1848.

Buried in the Old Fork Cemetery in Madison County, Georgia.
